Frequently asked questions
What is a temporary email address?
A temporary email address is a disposable inbox you can use to receive mail without revealing or registering your real email address. It automatically expires after a short period, which helps keep your main inbox free of spam and protects your privacy when signing up for things you don't fully trust.
How long does a temporary email address last?
On QuickInbox, you choose the lifespan yourself, anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. Once that time is up, the address and any messages it received are permanently deleted.
Is QuickInbox free to use?
Yes. QuickInbox is completely free, requires no signup or account, and does not ask for any personal information.
Can I use a temporary email to sign up for websites?
Yes, a temporary email is commonly used to sign up for newsletters, free trials, forums, or one-time downloads without exposing your real email address to spam or marketing lists.
Is this the same as a 10 minute mail service?
Yes. QuickInbox works like a 10 minute mail service, except you're not limited to 10 minutes — you can choose any lifespan from 5 to 30 minutes when you generate your address.
Is QuickInbox a disposable email generator?
Yes, QuickInbox is a disposable email generator. It instantly creates a working inbox that receives real mail and then deletes itself automatically once your chosen time is up.
Can I use this as a fake email generator?
QuickInbox is often used the same way as a fake email generator, but the address it creates is real and can actually receive mail — it's simply temporary, so it disappears after the time you set instead of staying in your name forever.
What is a burner email?
A burner email is another name for a temporary or disposable email address: one you use once and throw away. QuickInbox generates a burner email that self-destructs after 5 to 30 minutes, whichever you choose.
